Pet Abuse Article

This article talks about passive cruelty towards animals which means that people neglect there animals. Examples of neglect is starvation, dehydration, parasite infections, allowing an animals collar to dig in there skin, not housing your animal in harsh weather conditions, and not having your animal get the proper veterinary care it needs. All this can put your animal in a lot of pain and suffering.This article also talks about active cruelty towards animals which is when you actually harm or hurt your animal. This is one of the most controversial issues that confront the animal rights movement. One way people can stop animal cruelty is to inform the government and have it put at the top of there list of important issues to address in the U.S.

Animal Abuse and Neglect Article

This article explains how animal cruelty can be either be deliberate abuse or just failing to take care of your animal. The article states that animal cruelty is not just against pets but farm animals and even wildlife that does not belong to anyone. There are many different ways that people abuse there animals besides beating them but some people have also shoot, stab and sometimes set them on fire.

Animal Experimentation Article

This article talks about how in the year of 2000 1,416,643 were experimented on in the United States of America. The number was broken down by species: 69,516 dogs, 25,560 cats, 57,518 primates, 505,009 guinea pigs, 258,754 rabbits, 23,934 sheep, 66,651 pigs, 69,126 "other" farm animals, and 166,429 "other" animals. Experimentation happens in laboratories so the media cannot simply walk in and start asking questions so they have to get there information from somewhere and they cannot put a stop to it.

Animal Cruelty

My project is on animal cruelty. I am going to work on experimentation with animals. I always new that there was animal cruelty but I never knew that people experimented with them. My partner is Jonathan Ho. I hope to help put a stop to animal cruelty on will do whatever it takes to do so.
